A ridge-top market town above the Teesta, known for its flower nurseries (orchids, gladioli and cacti) and for the bazaar that once traded wool with Lhasa. The Zang Dhok Palri Phodang monastery sits on Durpin hill, and the haat fills the town twice a week.
Once we're live, expect flower shows and nursery open days, monastery festivals on Durpin hill, haat-bazaar food and craft fairs, and walks down toward the Teesta.
