The Kullu Valley's alpine capital, where apple orchards give way to the high passes and Old Manali's riverside cafes have kept a live-music habit for decades. It's the launch pad for Hampta, Beas Kund and the Solang slopes, and the valley fills for the Winter Carnival each January.
Once we're live, expect Old Manali cafe gigs and open mics, seasonal festivals like the Winter Carnival, trekking and mountaineering meet-ups toward the passes, and workshops that move with the apple-and-snow calendar.
