About the event
Zanskar Festival brings the valley's cultural traditions together at Sani Lake, Zanskar. The programme includes local music and dance, regional food and craft displays, with textiles, metalwork and wooden objects among the traditions represented.
The 2026 festival took place on 15 and 16 September. It was the eleventh edition and the first since Zanskar became a district; the administration's opening report describes local-product stalls and Doksa exhibitions.
