Cicada Festival

A three-day music and forest festival, billed as a celebration of becoming. It is built around the cicada, an insect that spends years growing quietly underground, then emerges, sheds the shell it has outgrown and takes its first flight, joining a chorus of hundreds that emerge alongside it. The organisers say the three days in the forest follow that same shape, as more than a metaphor.
