About: Faiz Ahmed Faiz was one of South Asia's most influential poets. Writing in Urdu & Punjabi, he was also a noted teacher, journalist & political activist. The documentary explores Faiz's life, his deep involvement with the Progressive Writers' Movement, his time spent in prison, & his eventual exile. It features various musical renditions of his poems, being celebrated on the streets, in baithaks, and on the stage, truly a people's poet.
